Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the Chartland Elite tournament management web app (this site) and to the TournyON mobile app, both of which share a single backend operated by Chartland Elite. It explains what data the apps handle, why, and how to get it removed.

What we collect

1. Anonymous session identifiers. Every device that opens the app is assigned an anonymous Firebase Auth UID. This UID is not linked to an email, phone number, real name, or any account you created. It exists only so our database can tell one anonymous session from another and reject unauthorized writes.
2. Tournament content typed by the organizer. When an organizer sets up a tournament, they type a roster of player names and, as the night goes on, the match scores. These names and scores are stored in our database so every connected device can see live standings.
3. App diagnostics (optional). If you have not opted out, basic crash reports may be sent to Google Firebase Crashlytics so we can fix bugs. These reports include the device model and OS version but no personal content.

What we do not collect

• We do not ask for, or store, your email address, phone number, password, home address, payment information, location, contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, or camera data.
• We do not use advertising identifiers.
• We do not run third-party analytics or behavioural-tracking SDKs.
• We do not sell, rent, or share any data with advertisers or data brokers.

Who can see your data

Player names and scores are visible to anyone who has the session passcode for that tournament. The organizer controls the passcode and the roster. There is no public directory of players or tournaments.

Data retention and deletion

Tournaments stay in the database until the organizer deletes them. Organizers can delete any tournament from the admin panel, which permanently removes the associated names, scores, and ratings.

If you are a player whose name appears in a tournament you would like removed, contact the organizer who created the session. For residual issues, email the maintainer at the address listed below.

Children

Neither app is directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the “Last updated” date above will change.
